Medical Form Question

I have submitted my I-130, I-765 and I-485 forms to chicago lockbox. When I called USCIS they told me to wait until I received the medical form in the mail to have it completed. Do I need to wait or can I print the one off the internet and make my appointment to speed up the process?

You are supposed to have a medical before you file I-130/I-485, and submit that along with the application. You will most likely get a letter from USCIS now asking for the medical forms in a sealed envelope.

There are no forms to print out, you need to go to a doctor to have the medical done. A list of doctors who do this is on the USCIS website. The doctor performing the medical will have all the necessary forms.

Oh no, see thats what I had thought but it said if sending it to the chicago lock box and not through a local office to wait until they reply and tell you to get the medical. And when I called the 1-800 number they verified that. So I should go get the medical ASAP and send it to the chicago lock box?

Your problem was calling the 1-800 line. They fed you a line of bullshit I'm afraid.

Get the medical ASAP, and wait for the "Request for Evidence" from USCIS to arrive. Then send them the I-693 in the sealed envelope to them in reply to the RFE.

Don't just send them the I-693 unsoliticited. It will most likely get lost.

Ok so I have my medical appointment on Monday.

What should I expect as far as delays because of this if anyone knows?

And is ok to send in an application for advance parole, along with my medical form? And can I send a letter attached to the medical form stating my name and that it is meant to have been filed with my other forms?

You'll most likely get an RFE from USCIS, which will delay your case, but if you have the I-693 at hand and send it to them promptly, you should a minimal delay.

You can send in the AP separately from the I-693 if you like. Just include a copy of the I-130/I-485 receipt notices with it.
