Just married affidavit of support questions please help

Hi I just got married, and my husband is completing the affidavit of support. I am a student and did not file taxes this year, but prior two years I did. My husband has worked but did not make more than 8,000 the required amount to file taxes. He has no tax returns. What do you put on the i-864 since he is trying to sponsor me. His mother will be the co-sponsor, but will USCIS find it weird that he has not filed taxes? What should we put on the i-864 in regards to him not having any taxes? Thanks for anyones help.

Who says $8000 is the minimum for filing taxes?
That's not true.

Regardless, he needs to provide information as to why the taxes were not filed.

fossil is right...

Fossil is right ! There's an 8k limit under which u don't have to file taxes. fossil...do a search for NeShawn or Kkboy, we had replied to another person regarding the same issue. NeShawn has clearly mentioned about a "Self attested letter" and it's format which ur hubby shud send with your 485/864. As usual, mommy shud file 864A for you as she's the co sponsor.

good luck.
