Out-of-status F1 married to a US Citizen

We are about to begin the process of adjusting my status to Greencard holder.
However, I have three questions:
1. Do i need a lawyer? Can i do it without? Advantages? Disadvantages?
2. How long does it take before i get my greencard and can travel out safely?
3. What documents do we (I and my husband) need to submit, so we can start putting them together ASAP.

Please help.

Hi:

I agree. Absolutely outrageous. I wish people would learn to do some research before asking. I just thought about it ----- to fully answer all her questions would take a good 20-30min. Half an hour we won't ever get back!

I am very happy to answer questions when someone has made a good faith attempt to find the information ------ but no more spoon feeding.

such outrage

All i needed was a place that lists everythin we need to prepare, all i found was snippets of information here and there (perhaps my search wasn't effective enough). All the same, thanks for ur worthless thoughts.

his thoughts are not worthless. Every day we answer the same questions over and over again. It takes minutes for you to find the info, yet it takes much longer for us to type the same answers every time. If you are too lazy to look for free answers, hire a lawyer who will answer your questions for a fee.
