Got cards... stamps too?

Hi all,

We received our cards in the mail yesterday

I wonder if it is still a good idea to go to the local CIS office with the approval notice and get the stamp on the passport anyway (by the way, how long is that stamp valid for?).

If possible, this would be a good "safety net" to have in case of losing the cards, so we'd have something until we obtain replacements.

Comments? Opinions? Thanks!

The stamp is good for a year, but since you have the cards they won't give it to you.
