Question about I-94 and travel on H1B while AOS application pending

Hello!

I am currently on H1B, which expires in the end of 2008.

I recently applied for AOS (USC marriage based), but did not apply for EAD and AP, since, as far as I know, I can travel with my H1B, while my application is pending.

I need to take a quick trip to Canada during the summer.

My question is: what do I do with my current I-94? Am I supposed to leave it with the "airport people" when I leave the US (as I always do)? But, that's the I-94 that I supplied a copy of to the USCIS with my application... Is that going to be a problem? Obviously, I won't have the original with me at my interview, if that's the case. Am I supposed to send my new I-94 to the USCIS, once I get back to the US?
(well, that was actually more that just one question... )

Thank you in advance for all your input!

Have a nice day!

At the time of the interview officer will ask you about any recent travels out side of the country. You can update the information also the I-94. That happend to us, our interview was on Feb 1, 2007. We were out of the country in Dec. We gave the updated copy of the I-94 when officer asked for any travel after filling for I-485 application.

Hey arran_hope!

Thank you for your reply!

So, I'm just supposed to leave my current I-94 when I'm leaving the US, get a new one when I'm coming back, and present it to the officer during the interview. Sounds simple enough.

Thanks again!
