My wife has a green card, I have a H1-B visa. Can my wife start a business in my profession and then hire me as a H1-B. Basically I am applying for a green card at the moment, when I file for adjustment of status, I believe after 180 days you can port to another employer. I was hoping to start working for wife in the exact same field. Is this even feasible?. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yes. You can do that. But getting first H1 for a start up company , you need to prove so many things.
