interview result at the NJ local office - approved in a 4 days after the interview

Just wanted to share my experience from the interview (for I-485) in the local office, in NJ. Interviewer officer were respectful and professional. She explained the reason for the interview:
since I have been re-fingerprinted 3 times and all 3 times my fingerprints were rejected I supposed to have sended to INS my police clearance report. I have never done that, because no one send me any request for this police clearance and no one told me that I have only 12 weeks to do so. Well, right after the interview I went to my local police office, got my clearance report and sent it in the next day. Well, today I have recieved letter (letter was generated by officer on the plain white paper, not official one) from NJ local processing office stating that my application for adjustment of status is aproved and GC should be expected within 270 days. The strange that my online stutus HAS NOT been changed since Dec16, 2006, not even an updated!
There is also one mistake in the approval letter instead of category AS7 (I'm derivative) they have me under category AS6.
But no matter what, today is one of my happiest days of my life!

Congrats! Any ideas why were your fingerprints rejected? BTW, after your situation i've decided to play safe and went to the local police statition to get the clearance report but i was told that they could get me one, they could only sent it to INS at my request.

You would have to go to your local police office, ask a clerk for police clearance report (there would be stated your name, address, country of birth and conviction record if exsist). It's free of charge.

Yep, asked for that one. They asked why do i need it and when i said for GC interview i was told that at my request it will be sent to INS. Nonesence, but i couldn't do anything. I'll try another police station if i get a chance. Don't think i'm required to get it, but it wouldn't hurt if i get one. Opinion, have you received the actual card yet?

A clear police clearance report is basically a letter of good moral standing. I would say just have it with you in case they would ask for. For my interview I have brought all required documents that they listed on the interview invitation, but there was nothing about police clearance, so she took me by surprise when she asked for one, otherwise I would got proved right on the spot. GOOD LUCK

Opinion, how come your fingerprints were rejected 3 times? What was the reason? Did you you know about it before you came to the interview?

Yes I knew before the interview that my fingerprints were rejected, but have no idea why.
