Certified copy of marriage certificate required?

Hello,

it is not quite clear to me whether one has to submit a certified copy of the marriage certificate with a petition, or whether a photocopy is sufficient?

Also, is it required to submit copies of both passport and birth certificate (for sponsor and applicant), or are photocopies of all pages of the passports enough? What if the passport is brand new, do they need/want photocopies of all pages of the old passport as well?

And one last question: Are there any documents in a family-based green card application that need to be notarized?

Thank you for your help,

Niki.

You don't need to submit photocopies of all pages of passports, only the front page and last visa page, and it's better to submit certified copy of a marriage certificate. Nothing needs to be notarized.
