Interview for I-485/I130 case

Hi I just came back from my INS insterview. Interview was short n sweet. Whatever the officer asked me to show, i gave him the orignal papers and photocopy and he seems to be very satisfied . My wife (USC and my daugher) both were with me at the time of the interview.

Anyways at the end of the interview I asked him specifically -"if i passed the interviews" and the answer i got was " I believe so" and the officer then requested to us to wait outside.

We waited for about 30 min outside & the same officer came back(after interviewing 2 couples) and said, that he cant give me a final answer and they will let me know the outcome in the mail

Now any idea what does he meant by the outcome ? Do they look for some security clearance or something simialr ?

Anyone out there experienced the above and the outcome that was given ?

Becuase he did not mention anything negative about my case and seem contended as to what i provided and discussed.

Would apprecaite some insights

Thanks

Kevin

Relax

You should be in good shape, and get your approval letter in the mail very soon. So, enjoy your sleep and wife, no reason to be concerned..

Any idea (generally speaking) ( i know every case differ) how long does the approval takes ...more importanly what does one get in mail ? An approval letter and once they get that, then what ? do you go back to INS to get passport stamped or something else ?
