DORA Eligibility Question

Hello:

My wife lives in Dallas/Fort Worth and I live in North Carolina. I am a US Citizen and trying to apply for AOS for my wife. Since she lives in Dallas area, can we apply for her AOS to permanent residency through the DORA program?

I was reading a thread on this forum and couple of posters indicated that both the husband and wife have to have Texas IDs.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
nc

You will likely have problems. The fact that you don't both have TX ID's is not the big problem. The fact that you live in two states far apart might be. Since you do not clarify your reasons for living apart, whether it is of a very temporary nature etc., I cannot really determine.

I will say that generally for marriage cases, both the petitioner and applicant need to reside in the Dallas district.
