Can someone please help how many days it will take to get I797 papers after case is approved. Consultant is saying it will take time? Please help me.

people generally get in in 7-10 days.
After approval, i think the status says that if u dont get approval notice in 30 days u can contact them. Do that...they'll issue another copy.

thanks for your immd response...! Consultant is saying they need to get hard as well as soft copy from USCIS..Whether is it true...As u said i wll try to contact them

If u r in USA, u get this kind of msg after approval

an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.

So, as u can understand, we can always call up customer care number and confirm our address and say that we didnt receive the approval letter.

I dont think u need the soft copy.

I received my approval notice in about 5 days from USCIS after approval. Talk to the consultants there and they will send you one.

I will talk to them today... I am in india only...but the conusltant is from US...they r saying that we will recieve a soft copy...its almost 50 days over after case approved from USCIS....!

My employer's HR is located in India. I think USCIS will send the 797 paper to them.

How long it will take to mail the paper from US to India??

Mailing from US to India will not take more than 1 week
