passport valid less than 6 months

Hi Folks,

I am a new GC holder planning to make a travel to India in November '06 and return in late January '07. My Indian passport expires in early June '07, which is less than 6 months from my date of return to the US
(i.e. early June 07 - late Jan 07 < 6mths)

My question is: on returning to the US, will the fact that my passport is valid for LESS than 6 months create any problems at the immigration checkpoint?

**** You have enough time and why not to get passport renewed from Indian consulate now???? one can get new passport copy in 3-4 days
