Passport Expires in less than 6 months
In reference to this thread about traveling to South Africa on a passport that expires in less than 6 months. I received a reply from the South African Consulate in NY stating "...If u have a green card it shouldn’t be a problem as u permanently live here. That applies to visitors...". That, I assume, refers to the 6 month rule. So green card holders should be fine.
