Marrying US Citizen, I have a valid GC till 2012, but expired Indian passport
Hello. My fiance (she is a US citizen) and I are planning to get married in March 2007 in Forida. The question I have is that in order to get a marriage license, will my GC(which is valid till 2012) suffice as proof of my legal residence, because my Indian passport has expired in 2003. I didn't apply for a new Indian passport because I have no plans to travel outside of the US in the near future and will be applying for my US Citizenship next year.

Down here in Texas any one can get married....illegal or legal...just need a government issued photo ID.
