Obtaining a refugee travel certificate
This question is in regards to obtaining a refugee or asylee travel papers. I cannot get a passport from my home country because I did not serve in the military (Korea). I just recently received my green card for the US.
I would like to travel overseas, but cannot because I cannot get a passport. Does anyone know if I qualify for the refugee travel papers provided by the US governement. It says that I have to be a former refugee or asylee. Thanks in advance.

What you need is called a Refugee Travel Document. You need to file the I-131 form, it currently taking about 3 months for processing.
