When Does USCIS Update Processing Times?

I can't find any rhyme or reason to when the USCIS updates their "now processing cases" notices. Do they update every week? I know Memphis didn't update for weeks and finally updated on July 11. NSC is now showing processing dates for I-765s with Receipt Date of May 3 (last updated July 19). I'm hoping to see a big jump at the next update, but when will that be?

When I was adjusting my status to F1 I spoke with 1-800 agent (because my case was out of processing dates.) She explained that they update it twice a month, but there is no regular interval, so it can be as short as 2 weeks or as long as 4....however, from what I understand processing dates are not a good indicator of how long it takes them to process your case, as you can be ahead or behind the posted dates. The best way to track it is to see the timelines of other people from your DO or other DO's since a lof of functions are conducted by NBC now...

Your right, no rhyme or reason... much like their entire operation.

My DO 485 processing date two weeks ago was Nov 2005.
As of July 17th, they are now at Feb 2006.

SUREEEE they processed that many in a week.
Sure..

Hope you enjoy the guessing game as much as I do.

What about NYC?
In April it was Jan 1 2004. In May it was Jul 1 2004, June was at Jan 1 2005 and now July is at Jul 1 2005.
Meanwhile people with ND 2nd half of June06 already got their interview notices...

Clearing up some HUGE backlog????

USCIS online case status ..

There is no logic behind it . Their dates have never - never - been even close to actual processing dates ....

They do it when ever they can , because They are the USCIS and because They can ....
