Processing time faster than listed + question
Hello.
I recently received my AP and EAD after about 60 days from the NBC. My receipt date is April 3rd and it currently states that the NBC is on March 31st for AP and March 9th for the EAD. How is it that mine got processed so quickly? because they were filed together? I was wondering whether this is an indication that the interview could come sooner than expected. Santa Ana is processing 485's for Feb 23rd. Does that mean they are sending out interview notices for RD of Feb 23rd or that they are conducting interviews for Feb 23rd? I am supposed to leave the country at the end of July for 3 weeks. I'm wondering whether the interview could fall in that period. How much notice do you get before the interview? is the fact that the interview is schedule reflected on the online status? Thanks

Unfortunately, in respect to your interview date they don't update your only status at all, neither before nor after you received your letter. They don't even send out an email so you never know when it's coming.
I agree with you on how the processing times online do not seem to be accurate. Denver is supposed to be processing September 2005 right now and I already have got my interview date. Not that I'm complaining... ![]() I received my letter about 6 or 7 weeks before my interview date. I don't wanna scare you but it could be that you might get a date for July or August. You can reschedule the interview though, but that could delay your case. But everything else was processed real fast for you.. maybe you will get your interview soon, too. Good luck! |

I couldn't agree more with Pat. There is no LUD change when they send out the interview letter and yes, those processing dates are often misleading. San Jose says its still processing cases from Oct 2005 yet, I have my interview in another five days - that is when the ND of 485 is Mar 7, 2006.
Again - as Pat said - they usually send out the notice 6-8 weeks in advance, so you can calculate what that means. My best guess is that you would get your Interview Notice within next 10-12 days and your interview would be scheduled for early Aug. Good Luck.
