Received My GC Two Years Ago. Awaiting Wifes
HI I filed my Labor in 2000 Oct and got my GC in 2004 October. I got married in 2003 Feb and filed my wifes I485 in 2003 July. while I have received my GC a long time ago there is no news of her GC while it is almost 3 years. Does any body have any idea how far is she from the process or what can she do to speed up the process. Her Category should be eb3.
Thanks |

Maybe I am wrong but since she derives her status from your employment sponsorship, she should have been adjusted the same time as you and received the card at the same time.
If that was not the case then she would be under family based as spouse of GC holder, I think that category is about 5-6 years wait time. You need to explain your situation better, so someone can point you to the right direction.

Alright I was on h1b and filled for my GC process starting with labor in oct 2000. I got my labor in 2002 June and then I filed my I140 and I485 together in Oct 2002. I got married in Feb 2003 and my wife came with me on h4. We filed her papers which were just the 1485 and work and travel permit on July 2003. Now I received my Green Card in Oct 2004 but she has not received anything. She was asked a medical RFE in July 2005 and we have sent that but since then there has been no progress in her case.
I will like to know what can we do now to speed up her process. If there are any details that I have not provided then please let me know and I can provide those details as well. |
