AOS Interview...wife not working

My wife is a student and use to work part-time (with income less than 125% of the Poverty line) at the time of filing.
She filed I 864 and I filed I 864A (My income is enuf to qualify) ,just like some of the others in this forum.

But she has quit her work now.
Should I carry a Joint Affidavit of Support from one of her far-off relative, to the interview...just in case the officer asks for it?

Any thoughts...suggestions....appreciated....

Thanks.

I'm in the same situation as you.

I'm getting married in less than three weeks and I know for sure that my wife won't be employed at least for another year (she's graduating from law school in May 2007).
Just in case my interview is gonna be before that, which I doubt since I live in Manhattan, we are going to get my father-in-law as a joint sponsor, even though my income qualifies.
I read on the I-864 form that the sponsor MUST be employed. I know the line is thin if the sponsored immigrant's income qualifies, but we just don't want to take any chance to have our application denied or even delayed.
Also, I think that showing proof of school enrollment of your wife would help.

Thanks for ur reply...sarrebal....
I believe...I will just carry a Joint Affidavit of Support to the interview...Just in case....

On second thoughts....
Is it OK if a joint sponsor is one of my relative(second cousin)?
Do they care...who is the joint sponsor?...as long as he submits all the required docs and have adequate income.

As long as he/she's a USC or GC holder and you could show proof of that (copy of either birth certificate/certificate of naturalization/US passport for USC), the joint sponsor could be anyone, even related to you.
