Apartment lease

Hi,
I am a GC holder. My sister has come to U.S in H1-B visa.
I own a house in Ohio and my sis is in Texas.
Can I take an apartment for rent in my name in Texas as I would have better credit history than my sis.
Could anyone please let me know whether doing this would impact my sis credit history or during my citizenship process (will be applying soon).

I will be including my sister's name in the apartment lease, however,I would be the primary owner.I would meet my sis once in two months.

Please let me know if this is ok.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the answers,
One more question though...
Will it affect my citizenship process as I will be applying my citizenship very soon.
Thanks in advance,

In your case, if you change it to Texas, you can save a bunch of money.

If you are refering to requirement of paying State Income tax....Texas has no state income tax.

You can be a gurantor or co-signer on the lease...that way you can take the responsiblity if your sister fails to make a payment...and not be listed as a resident on the lease.
