spirit should be above the intent

I saw many posters worry about when to leave job after acquiring GC. And the new immigration bill tries to let more illegal immigrants to stay here. Illegal immgrants may be able to stay 5 more yrs w/o deportation??!!!!
Illegal Immigrants can wire transfer money with 5% surcharge? how come we know they are illegal but do nothing , just charge them more$$$ ? so next we shall charge them $100 co-pay for ER? $5000 for public school? On the other hand, foreigners can just come in and work for period of time may even be able to become PR/citizens (who knows)

I see the spirit is to welcome more immigrants to US. This is fine as long as they make sure the inidividual does not cause security threat to this country.

Now go back the the silly intent to work for Employement based employers or so and so fraud. Why care! I see many cooks in restaurants never were cooks, they made fruad document to prove they were cook in their home countries. And they still a cook and are cooking food for us. If US has the foregoing spirit to immigrants, then should not waste time and money to tract down if the cook has done immigration fraud. And all EB2 or EB3 ppl should be able to change job before or after their green card issued.

These are not considered as any advice, just my best wish to those who can't sleep well but really want to change job before or after (couple days) they get the green card.

Instead of rally 500,000 ppl in los angeles, posters should gather millions of signatures to legislators, telling them we want the spirit to count, not the stupid intent.

Actually, there is a bill going through the Georgia state Legislature to place a 5% tax on money transfers if the sender does not have valid status in the US. I am unsure how this will be enforced as a practical matter, but it is very real.

When the bill in question has been passed by the state House and Senate and just needs to be reconciled before it goes to the Governor (who has indicarted he will sign it), then your point while correct is a mere semantic difference.

Besides, it would be really easy to circumvent:
I agree with you that it's a highly ineffective move. I'm just pointing out that the bill does exist, and will most likely become law in Georgia very soon.

also heard someone suggest one step further, if illegal immigrants pay tax for 6 yrs and do not break other laws( don't know what law it is referred to) then shall grant them PR.

in this case, all who get green card even under fraud, should be able to get citizenship after certain yrs as long as they are good residents and pay their tax
