Quickest way to be with my family

Hi,

I am an unmarried Canadian citizen, over the age of 21, with parents who are 2 year US permanent residents and a brother who is USC. I desperately want to immigrate to the US to be with my family. My question is basically: except marriage to a USC, what is the quickest way for me to immigrate to the US and more importantly be able to legally work there?

From my research, I know I can immigrate through a family member (my parents in this case) however I do not know if I will be able to work while waiting 4-6 years for a pending green card. I do not have a Baccalaureate degree so I don’t think I would qualify for the NAFTA status or any employment based immigration.

Can someone please help me with some answers, suggestions or advice?

Thank you very much in advance.

The fastest way that I can think about is for your parents to become citizens and then ask for you. How long have they been PR?

They have been PR for just over 2 years. If i'm not mistaken they have to be PR for 5 years before they can apply for naturalization which itself takes another 6-8 months (I think).

I belive that they can apply to sponsor me as LPR right now and as soon as they become USC the application can be upgraded to expedite the process.

However, I'm still unclear about what options I have to live and work in the US while I wait for the application to be accepted.
