Many years ago, 1992-93, in Los Angeles, I went for Working Permit renewal. I believe the office was in Montebello, but I'm not sure.
After spending 4-5 hours in an atmosphere who made me feel like I was in Tijuana I finally got it.
Frustrated of such a waste of time and since I had my own business, I've decided that it was my second Working Permit and...the last one. For the next 6-7 years, until I got the Green Card I've never renewed it...and I saved some money too

Now, if your employer needs it you may have to get one. If you don't need to show it at the work place, just forget about it.

I had my interview in Los Angeles on 4/26/05, I was nervous too. But actually, it was not that difficult, as long as you told officer all the truth, and don't try to treat the officer, then you will be fine. Don't worry, cheer up and good luck, i am so sure that you will get approval and the stamps right the way. Remember to have a well prepare for all related documents. Good luck!

You have nothing to loose, if you don't get the stamp well just apply again for the work permit (the problem is that you never got the first one so you need it anyway), BUT if you get the stamp then you don't need it! Your interview is next week, so for what matters won't be any difference.

Good luck on the interview, relax and make a checklist so you are sure you have all the documents and photocopies!
