AR at New Delhi Embassy

Do you know if any male coming through Delhi embassy is put through AR for several months before getting immigrant visa? Has any one experienced this thing? I heard all males coming through Pakistan are put into AR... how about males coming from India. How is the condition and rate of AR there in Delhi? Why they are put through AR? Any clue and hint that this can be prevented?
I appreciate if you could please share any information you may have. Thanks!!!

ps. My husband is going to have his interview at Delhi embassy soon and I fear this AR thing.

This is something you cannot predict. I know people from Pakistan who waited for 4 monnths to 11 months. There is one guy who is waiting since 2 years. All cases are here in immigration portal. But remember here you will see the cases who are having problems. I am pretty sure there will be 80% of applicants who will get the visa without a problem.
So dont loose hope and prepare your papers good and go there with a smile.

Good Luck.

Thanks Kamrans. Do you know or heard anyone coming through New delhi embassy went through such troubles? As you said only cases with some problems might encounter such ARs hopefully. You know what the more knowledge, the more tensions here I think. I had no tensions before knowing anything about AR as my case was very smooth so far and I expected that in the last step of interview, u just get visa and no more delays but now I hear all AR cases and more waiting and that makes me nervous. I appreciate your kind word. Will keep praying.

AR is Administrative Review and I heard almost all males coming from Asian countries are put into AR after their interview at teh embassy and thus they don't get visa in few moths after interview as they will have to wait for AR to be complete. I am not sure about Delhi though and that is why ia m asking this. Do all males getting Immigrant visa through Delhi embassy get approved for visa at the interview or asked to go through AR?
So, who all got approved at the interview and who all were asked to go through AR before approving?

Any body? If no one went through AR, then I think Delhi embassy don't ask for that. Please help me get over this scary thoughts.
