No receipt notice for I-130 since filed, is the normal? Please help

Hello,

My Husband (US citizen) filed I-130 for his Mom who is not in the US right now on October 2005. Since then, we haven't received any information about it, not even the receipt notice. However, the check was cashed shortly. Is this normal? Please advise.

Plus, does anyone know a good site where I can read people's AOS interview experience, so I could prepare for mine. My interview date is at Feb 14th 06.

many many Thanks

Appleyao

The NOA would arrive soon after the checks are encashed.

This site has a lot of interesting and useful experiences of people who have been to their AOS interview. Search And Ye Shall Find....

Thanks for your advise. I called the USCIS and they told me that the # on the back of the check is the case #. So I found out the case # and went online and found this under status
"On October 17, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued.
"
Can someone explain what does this mean?

Thanks
Appleyao
