H1-B Transfer at Vermont Service Centre
Hello Everybody,
My H1-B transfer from one employer to another was applied in October at VSC with application receipt date of October 5, 2005. This has been pending since then. This is now being filed in Premium Processing by my employer. Do you have any idea if this will be treated as a new application or the same application will be converted to the premium mode. Also, why is VSC taking so much of time when all the other Service Centres are processing for the October dates. I am really worried if this will be done by January or not. I have to go to India for my wedding in Feb first week. Lastly, I have Visa stamping on my passport with the validity date of Dec 23rd, 2006. I have read in various forums that I can travel with new petition and old stamping if the visa is valid. Do I necessarily need to go for new stamping in India. I will not get the appointment for stamping in India in Feb now and can not postpone the travel and wedding too. Please suggest. I am very much worried. Please suggest. Thanks, Vijay.
