I am sure somebody knows...
I was browsing the USCIS site and I saw this in the section of maintaining permanent residency:
You may be found to have abandoned your permanent resident status if you: Fail to file income tax returns while living outside of the US for any period. ( http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/PermRes.htm#maintain ) Does this mean that failing to file taxes while in the US is not going to nullify your permanent residency? I mean, it can have other compications but not necessarily deportation (I read on different sites some people believe that failing to file taxes is a deportable issue for a PR). How should I interpret the blue statement above?
