Change of status from F2 to H4
Hi,
I came on a F2 visa in july . My husband was on his OPT and had his H1 filed . In August I applied for change of status from F2 to H4 . I had received a notice for additional documents from USCIS which i posted last month . They have received the documents and it is under processing. The query that i have is : 1) The I20 that was issued for me will expire in Dec end(thoug the visa that is stamped is valid till 2008) ,will I go out of status as my husband's F1 status is changed to H1 ??I have a receipt and my change of status was filed 4 months back . 2) How long can I expect for an approval after submitting the documents that were asked for. Has anyone faced such situation. Plz plz plz respond back . Thanks

While your H4 application is pending, you are in authorized stay and are allowed to stay.
