Any experience with INFOPASS appointment for AP

I applied for my wife's AP in early October. The case status online hasn't been updated since Oct 27th. I am getting really worried now since I really need that AP for travel in the December.

1) Has anyone had any experience with getting the AP via an INFOPASS appointment? I know that sometimes, USCIS can give AP on the same day for emergency travel. Anyone know if the only emergencies are of the medical kind or do weddings also count?

2) What sort of proof is required to show emergencies for getting the AP?

3) My wife's INFOPASS appointment is after 60 days of her Notice Date. Is that grounds enough for USCIS to give her the AP during the appointment?

Thank you very much for your help in this urgent matter.

I went to my local NY office last week.
documents needed:

I had to show a letter from my doctor back home stating that my grandmother is ill (faxed copy)
I also had a letter from my mother (faxed copy)
My birth certificate
My mothers birth certificate to prove the relationship
Of course the form and the $170 fee

I was there for about 3 hours maybe-I received the AP. I had not previously applied so this was based on an emergeny request.
