immunizations (vaccinations) need while applying for my parents' GC

Hi,

My parents are coming to the US on visitor's visa, while they are here my sister will apply for their green card. My parents want to get the immunizations record from our family doctor and also get any immunizations they have not taken yet.

Could you please let me know the list of such immunizations (or point me to the appropriate USCIS page). Also which form do we need to file with USCIS that conveys them the immunization info (is this part of form I-693?).

Thanks in advance.

A doctor is pretty much the only person qualified to state what is needed to update immunization records. Have them visit their doctor and explain the purpose of the visit and then you can find out what is needed to update their immunization records.

They will use these records along with the I-693 when they go to a civil surgeon. You do have to go to a doctor/civil surgeon that is registered with the USCIS.

Visit the link above and call a few places to get the cheapest doctor. By the way, the civil surgeon can also advise you on the updates if needed. If you have a copy of their current immunization records maybe they can help you out over the phone (maybe).
