I-751 been waiting 2 yrs HELP!!!!!!

Hi
We have applied for the removal of conditions in july 2003. In 2004 & 2005 we had to get extension to our Notice of Action received on 7/09/2003.
I made a case inquiry with the Texas Center. They sent me a letter telling me that they sent the NOtice of approval on 10/27/05 (It was about time) and they sent it during hurricane wilma, we were out of power for 2 weeks, post office was not delivering the mail etc.... Now they want us to file a I-824 for a duplicate. the form cost $200.00 and it will take more than 1 yr to received the Duplicate letter of approval. I mean we have been waiting for 2 yrs and now they want us to wait at least another year for a duplicate. I called them telling them we had an hurricane but they don't care. Is there anything I can do. I mean do i really have to wait another year or 2 to get a duplicate of the approval. Is there anyway around it?

If it takes a year to get the duplicate, will they closed our immigration file thinking that we are not going to get fingerprint and pictures and not reporting to MIami district office?

PLEASE HELP,

Thank you

You should get an INFOPASS appt and talk to an officer in your DO. Dealing with customer support on the phone can be quite challenging at times.

Thank you
I took an appointment for December 15th. But when you go to MIAMI DIstrict office, if you are not spanish you are not really welcome there. I've been there about 7 times and there was only one time where a lady was really helpful, all the other ones are like "sleeping" they don't really want to help you but just be there to get their paycheck. When we went there for our change of address the lady gave us a paper with lines on it and a happy face printed on the corner!!!!!!!!!

When we went for our first interview for the approval of the conditional green card, the office told us straight out that he hated Canadians!!! He was a prick

I wish i would remember that officer so i could make a complaint

Oh well thanks for reading.
