Urgent help regd filing of h1 from IT company..? currently worked for nonIT company..
All immi gurus...
need your help and ideas about my situation... I am academically a civil engr with IT experience out of US. When I came here I joined back as a Civil Engr..I have been currently laid off and plan to join a IT consulting company....and in the process of filing/extending my H1, btw, I am on the 7th yr of mt H1... Now...will there be any problem filing thru an IT company..? I will get my credentials evaluted with both civil and computers background... Pls gurus...any ideas pls post... Depserately looking out for help....

I am also in a similar situation.
Mine is new H1 applied on Aug 13, 2005. I have done my masters in Chemical Engineering from USA and was working for a chemical company during my OPT period. The company did not sponsor my H1 so filed it through an IT consultant as I have some IT experience outside USA. My case details: New H1 Applied Aug 13, 2005. RFE(Request for evidence) received on 13th Sept, 2005. Still have to reply to RFE. Please Keep me posted regarding your case.
