Reentry Permit
My wife is planning to stay in India for around 8 months. The application for
I-131 mentions that reentry permit is not required if the stay is less than a year. Will there be any issues while coming back after 8 months do we need to show any proof of residence.(my wife doesn't work). I will appreciate any comments. "If you stay outside the United States for less than one year, you are not required to apply for a reentry permit. You may reenter the United States on your Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551)." Thanks for ur help
