Moved to India after 1 year of GC. Questions reg Citizenship
Hi Guys,
I had to move back to India after one year of getting the GC due to some personal responsibilities in India. I have also taken up a job in India. I have completed 4 months in India since I moved back. I have got Re-entry permit (REP) until Sep-2007. Question: 1. Will my stay in India until REP limit affect my GC? 2. If I go to US before one year of return to India, will I loose GC? 3. Now, I feel that at least I should get the US citizenship and then come back. If I return back to US before one year of my return to India, Can I apply for US citizenship and will my one year in US be counted in that? 4. My son is a born US citizen. If my wife (GC holder) and my son stay in India and only I go to US for getting citizenship. Can I sponser the citizenship for my wife then? 5. How many times, I can apply for REP? I am a confused man. Pl. help. Thanks in Adv.
