My H1B was filed on Aug 8 2005(regular). And am waiting for an approval.
Let me know from all who filed their H1B in July/August and your USCIS status changes. Has anyone applied for premium processing? Lets all join to know more information from our experiences.

Hello everyone,
I am in a unique situation and need your urgent advice!
I have done my masters in Chemical engineering in the US. My OPT is already over. I have about 1 year of experience in computers and based on that I got a job in a software company(Company1).
Company1 has applied for my H1 and I have got RFE on how my education is
related to the job. Though my employer is confident that H1 will get approved, I am extremely worried about it.

Recently, I got another job in company2 which is also a software company but the position requires chemical engineering experience. Company2 is also willing to sponsor my H1. I feel that chances of getting approval from company2 H1 are good as they have employed several people with similar backgrounds as mine.

My question is can I apply for another H1 from Company2 while my H1 fom Company1 is pending? As I mentioned, my OPT is already over and I am staying in the US only because my H1 from Company1 is pending.

I would really appreciate any help. The lawyers are not giving me straight answers.

I got my status updated today requesting additional evidence or information in my case I have talked to my clients and they said they have already received the correspondence and submitted the docs. No idea how long its gonna take for case to be approved.
Any insights on this will be a great help. Thanks in advance.

Hi jasukira,
What additional evidence was required? I have received a request to submit documents explaining how is my background(chemical engg) is relevant to a software job and why does the company need a masters' degree for this position?

I still have to reply to it. It usually takes between 3-4 weeks from the date they receive the additional requested docs.

Hi patkt,

When i contacted my employer they have mentioned that the docs for additional information is clarifying companies details something like that....therz nothing pertaining to things which i'am to be involved. Should i know it clearly...they said they have submitted the docs at the office.

I too file on August 11,05.Till now i haven't heard anything but the USCIS site shows processing is going on for Aug 6,05.Has Any one applied before or after this date and got approved.please let me know.

Congrats for your approval. Hope you'll have smooth flow form here. I would like to know whether USCIS web site updated your case as Received Docs...and then ....to approved. What i see is my lawyer says they submitted docs 3weeks back but still i do not see even received update from the site.

My Lawyer responded to RFE on DEC 6th and on Dec 8th the status got updated saying ,we have received the documents................
and on Dec 20th my case is approved.

RFE reply received by USCIS: Dec 5th

Approved: Dec 16th.

Now just waiting to get the approval papers ?

Does anybody have an idea about consular appointments in Mumbai ? The current dates are in May, any luck with getting earlier dates ?
