work for Indian company remotely from US

I am on H1B visa in US working for a US company and drawing salary in US. Can I:

Own a company in India/ be a partner in an INdian company in India?
Draw a salary as a partner for work I do remotely for the Indian company? The work I do is basically provide management advice, strategic guidance, and draw business plans?
Any idea on tax implications? As far as I gather I dont have to pay US taxes on salary earned on income from source not in US. I will of course have to pay Indian taxes on this salary.
