Green Card name Change

Hi,
We got our GC last year. My wife is planning a trip to India. I recently noticed that her name on the GC has her father's name as her middle name. This has happened since his initial is same as mine. On the I-485 application we only put my initial as her middle name but on the GC they changed it to be her father's name.

My question is how soon can this be changed? Unfortunately we have already booked her tickets for the end of September.

Please advice ASAP.

I guess her passport has her middle-name as her farher's name. I think that's why USCIS expanded her middle-name in GC. In that case, what is so urgent to change the name before traveling? Either way, it's not a big issue. She can change it later. She needs to file I-90 form. It takes anywhere between 3 months to one year. Check the timeline for your local service center.
