EAD Expiring...

My EAD is expiring on Nov 1 and I am concerned that my renewal EAD will not come in time. My 485 is stuck in the FBI name check queue.

I did send a renewal application more than 90 days in advance but the USCIS sent it back asking me to send it to the Chicago office. They sat on it for a month and as a result, I am now no longer in the '90 day' window. Can I still continue to work beyond Nov 1 incase my EAD does not come through? What are my options?

Would appreciate any info and apologise if this is a duplicate thread.

EAD renewal...

Akssriva, where did you send it at the first place so USCIS return your application? I just e-file my I-765 today and on the Receipt it says I have to mail it to Lee's SUmmit, MO and on their webisite it says I should send supporting documents in Chicago?! A little bit confusing

business+,

I originally sent it to Laguna Niguel (Southern Cal) because that was the address I saw on the form. I live near San Francisco. They sent it back and asked me to contact my local USCIS office. I went to the USCIS office in San Francisco where they clarified that it needs to go to Chicago. I would check with the local USCIS office before sending it to MO. As far as I know, family based I-765s are handled in Chicago.
