Divorce after getting GC for 10 years

Guys, if somebody can help to my friend. On June he received GC for 10 years and now as an August his wife wants divorce. Does this means that he is going to lose his permanent residence in the USA?
Please help.

He is fine. He is not going to loose GC just because of divorce.

The permanent resident doesn't expire or "taking away" because a divorce after you have the unconditional one, that is for 10 years. The only way that he can loose the GC is if he travel for a year without a re-entry permit, commits a crime or something against the rules to keep the PR.

Of course is sad that his marriage is not.

Good luck,
