Changing job title/field with same employer after getting employer sponsered GC

I finally got my greencard last week. Everything feels different!! It's knowing that I am here working for this company by choice now and can choose to take a break if I wanted.

Anyways, I was wondering if changing my title within the same company is OK specially with regards to the idiotic "intent to work permenatly" clause. Say if I moved from being a "Sr. Software Engineer" to say "Marketing Executive" or "Product Manager" right away. Could this become an issue IF/WHEN I decide to apply for citizenship later.

I have worked for my current employer for almost 5 years now.

I think it should not matter if the promotion is done along the same
career path.

In pratical terms, it matter much less. many even kiss their sponsor good bye
without any trouble later. So why shoudl you worry?
