What If I Get Divorced?
I've been married in totally good faith for almost five years, but me and my
husband, who is US citizen, are thinking about getting divorce. What happens if I already have the conditional green card for more than two years (its already expired)? We've also filed form I-751 for the permanent residence and the process is taking more time that what its expected. What should I do? May I get divorce and still get the permanent green card or should I wait for the appointment and then get divorced? Thank you very much for your advise, |

which center
I have almost exact same situation. We married 3.5 years but she filed divorce after 4 months we jointly filed to remove the conditions. It's extremely frustrating and stressful. Which center is your case ?
Can we exchange information? |

yes, you can get a GC, if you prove that your marriage was bona fide.

And what is the process??? Are you still required to go thru an interview or is it all primarily based on paperwork? Based on other's experience, how long does it usually take to receive permanent GC once you file the paperwork 90 days before the expiration of the conditional GC???? Is that a lenthy process as well???
