GC for daughter
if GC holder mother files for unmarried daughter of age abv 21.
what would happen to the application if daughter gets married in few months. Will the case be invalidated ? Will it go in better category ? Mother has to be in USA while filling the petition ? Thanks |

Yes, the case will be invalidated. If you become a citizen then the case will still be open but she will be in 3rd preference so the wait will be longer.

GC holder cannot apply for Married Son or Daughter.
http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/child.htm I don't fully understand if mother has to file in the US? The sponsor should mantain residence in the US and should file the petition to the USCIS in the US is my understanding. good luck, |

Is my understanding that you file inside the US, plus it suppose that the petitioner/sponsor should mantain residence in the US.
