filing both HI and 485 (based on spouse)
Hi
i have been working for my employer for the last 2yrs in houston and now he moved to UIUC illinois. UIUC was late in filling my petition for H1 so now i am out of status but they are ready to do premium processing for which i have to leave the country. i am getting married to an american citizen in aug. My 1-140 based on NIW is approved and waiting for an interview call from kenya. is it advisable to apply for both HI and 485 based on spouse so that i can see which one comes faster so that i can start working as my project is pending (i am a post doc). or should i forget everything and wait for my work permit any help will be greatly appreciated thanks Last edited by cougar; 22nd June 2005 at 06:08 PM.
