EB-3 Visa Category: No More Green Cards For Now
All,
I saw the article below on another site, Does this apply to every one? or is this targeted and people who apply for GC through employers? -------------------------------------------------------------- June 21, 2005 EB-3 Visa Category: No More Green Cards For Now Due to a backlog in the EB-3 visa category, green cards won't be available until the end of this summer (estimated timeframe). Only for registered nurses, physical therapists and persons with exceptional ability, so-called Schedule A Occupations, green cards are currently available. The EB-3 category includes Aliens with at least two years of experience as skilled workers; Professionals with a baccalaureate degree; and Other workers with less than two years experience, such as an unskilled worker who can perform labor for which qualified workers are not available in the United States. The "other workers" category is the most popular one and therefore backlogged. Applicants may wait several years before they obtain permanent residence (green card). If you are a nurse and want to know the details of the application process, read Carl Shusterman's article. |
