How Long - What happens to I-130 / I-485 after filing at NBC?

Are these processed at NBC, or at some point are they sent to the local office of where one lives for processing? If so, are they deemed received by that office according to that date, or slipped into line according to your original NBC filing date?

I just received my EAD, 68 days after filing amarriage-based AOS I-130/I-485 at NBC on 22 April; am now wondering when I might expect an interview. I live in Los Angeles. Any thoughts or experience to share from folks in a similar situation?

Thanks and good luck to all out there.

just look at the processing dates for your LA office. If I am not mistaken, it only takes months to get the GC in CA.

Yes, but....

Yes - I already did that. However my question is, what is considered the "date received" by my local office, since I filed my application at NBC? For example, if the LA office is currently processing applications filed on April 15th, does that mean applications filed at NBC on April 15th, or applications that they received from NBC on April 15th, after pre-processing?

I have started a LA office tracker for those of us in the LA area. I invite you to post your details.
