FI to A.O.S problems

Hello everyone,
I will really appreciate any bit of advice.

my petition (I-130) is still waiting to be approved, however i have all receipts indicating that my application for A.O.S and EAD were received by USCIS.

My school is giving me a hard time, they say there will not change my status from F-1 to A.O.S in the student exchange and visitor information system (S.E.V.I.S) because my case has not been adjudicated, and I just graduated this may.

Can anyone please help me out?

Why do you worry about this? WHILE you are still a student, it's important to notify the school of AOS APPROVAL (not AOS application which can be rejected) so they can change your international student status, but AFTER you graduated and are in the PROCESS of AOS your SEVIS status is of no concern to you. Stop giving yourself a hard time

your school is being ridiculous, but anti-climacus is right: the good news is - you don't have to care anymore. Once your I-485 has been filed, and especially since it was done while you were still in status, you don't have to worry about SEVIS record anymore.

I simply emailed my school when I applied for AOS, informing them that I no longer planned to maintain my F-1 status and that they should change my status in SEVIS to whatever they think is appropriate in this case. All they said was - OK.

what was the basis for your AOS?
