I-130 Application Approvals and Priority Date (which is more important)
Hi Everyone,
An I-130 application has been filed on behalf of me a couple of years ago (my wife is a GC holder) and it seems that my immigrant visa number is going to be available. However, my I-130 has not yet been processed. So the question is if a visa number becomes available for me but my I-130 application is not yet processed, what can I do? I am already in US on an F1 visa and studying. Is it possible to file for I485 (adjustment of status) before I-130 is approved (since I am already in US)? Or is it possile to get a work permit? Any advice would be appreciated Thanks alot
