Family Based: First Preference Interview/Processing question
Hi There,
Im hoping someone could shed some light on my situation Basically my case was completed at the NVC after almost 4 and a half years since filing on the 4th of April and forwarded to London on the 14th I have been posting on other forums predominantly Spousal Based as initially I was unable to find and family based forums - cant believe I have found what seems to be the biggest forum I have come accross now Anyway generally there is about 8-10 weeks from case completion to the interview for CR-1 based spousal visas which basically family the same route in terms of processing at the NVC so I was expecting to receive my interview date about 2 weeks ago After frantically searching the internet I came across the DoS article referring to the OVERVIEW OF THE IMMIGRANT NUMERICAL CONTROL SYSTEM whcih has assisted me quite a bit in terms of understanding how the process differs between immediate relatives and family based immigrant visas. According to that article at the beginning of each the Embassy or Consulate send to the Visa Office 'listing totals of documentarily qualified immigrant visa applicants in categories subject to numerical limitation', which refers to me. So if my case was completed and forwarded in April I would have to wait until the beginning of may before London even sends my 'foreign state chargeability/preference/priority date' information to the Visa Office Now my question is does anyone know roughly how long it is until an interview will be arranged? Is there anyone out there who has gone this route? Kind Regards David |
