Why morgage lender ask applicants if they are citizens, or PR, H1B holder or not?
Other people can not borrow money to buy a house?

There is a Patriot Act form to fill in with some
ID information. There are two groups of ID and you need to submit one in each group. Driver license and green cards belong to Group A and SSN card belong to Group B. But Driver license does not reveal one's immigration status and I am not sure about SSN card (that is why one need to get a no-legend SSN card after getting GC)
