Hi guys,

Is the six month thumb rule to change jobs after GC from the date of I-485 approval or the GC stamping? We have abt 4 weeks gap between the two. Any help will be appreciated.

You are PR from the day you were approved. GC stamping is just a formality to complete the whole process (also to provide you a temporary stamp until you receive your card).
